I hope you are all having a great week so far.
Should you already be following Divorce the Workforce on Facebook, I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for the follow. That you find what I’m doing to be of value to you in your busy day is very humbling and I am honored to have you with me.
Additionally, if you are thinking about following my page, I encourage you to do so, and I hope to see you there.
Lately, I’ve been getting more and more people choosing to follow Divorce the Workforce on Facebook, but the engagement is lacking.
This is not because of a lack of interest, but rather because of the “notification” settings in Facebook.
When you chose to like my page, Facebook has default settings that make it difficult for you to see most, if not all, of the content I provide on the page.
Much of that content is designed to link you to very valuable content that either I or someone else has published. The content I choose to put on the Divorce the Workforce page is selected because of the value it provides to both those who want to be entrepreneurs and those who already are entrepreneurs.
Additionally, I realize that oftentimes when people follow a brand or a business, those people enjoy seeing ‘behind-the-scenes’ type of material that gives insight into who the brand or business is. I will also be providing those sorts of glimpses into my world in running this business.
For those of you who have not fixed your notifications, and who barely see what I post, you can indeed fix that on your end, should you desire to see most, if not all of the content I publish on the Divorce the Workforce Facebook page.
I’ll show you how!
Turning on Divorce the Workforce Facebook Notifications
Thank you for your interest in changing your notifications on my page, as I really want to connect with you so you and I can work together to stay motivated, build a business, learn how to utilize social media in a fashion that makes sense, and the like.
First, you must visit the Divorce the Workforce page.
Second, if you run your cursor over the “Liked” button, you will see a drop-down menu that includes the choices “Posts in News Feed” and “Notifications.”
As you can see, the default for “Notifications” is “None.” This is why you aren’t seeing anything come from this page on your news feed.
You must select “Notifications” at this time.
Once you select “Notifications,” you will see a box with several choices in it. You can customize that box as you like, but the best selection is “All Posts,” as this will allow you to see on your own personal timeline when you log into Facebook whatever I post on Divorce the Workforce. That way, you don’t miss anything.
When you check the “All Posts” box, you will notice that it automatically checks the boxes on “Videos,” “Photos,” “Links,” and “Status Updates.”
Having all of that checked ensures you are not missing anything.
Once you have checked the appropriate box or boxes that set it up the way you would like, simply click the “Done” button at the bottom right of the box.
And, should you ever want to change your notification settings, you simply do as I’ve explained here, and instead of checking boxes, you are unchecking boxes followed by hitting the “Done” button.
The fact is, any and all of the pages that you choose to like or follow have the same default setting. Sure, you will get an occasional post show up on your timeline from each and every page you like or follow. But if you do not change the notification settings, you are going to miss a lot of great material from every page that you like or follow, wherein you potentially miss a lot of valuable or entertaining information.
Again, I thank you for reading this and following my page. I hope I can live up to what you expect from me and my page.
And I encourage you to contact me on that page, whether in the timeline, or by sending me a private message, or by commenting here. I want to hear from you. I want to know what you are doing for yourself as an entrepreneur, and I’d like to help you as much as possible.
I’ve been an entrepreneur for just about half my life and I live a lifestyle that I love and that makes sense to me, and I want to share everything I can with you. By doing that, I not only sharpen my entrepreneurial skills, but more than that I hope to help you sharpen your entrepreneurial skills and be a part of taking your business to the next level.
